The snow days experienced in the valley may have slowed down most people, but Blake Hansen continues to prove that he is not most people. With an overtime loss to Skyview (Hansen fouled out late in the 4th) and blowout win over Caldwell, Blake Hansen continues to get to the rim at will with 33 points and 10 rebounds. His strong play earned him yet another Athlete of the Week award as Columbia sets their sights on the 4a SIC's 2nd seed, Ridgevue Warhawks.

Blake Hansen put on an offensive clinic in the Wildcat's overtime loss to Vallivue High School. Blake scored 24 points while adding 5 rebounds and 1 block. He shot 11/12 from the free throw line as Vallivue struggled to stop him from getting to the rim. Way to go Blake!

On Thursday, December 7, 2023, the Columbia boys basketball program visited Boise high school in a tough non-conference matchup. Columbia Freshman, Max Keller, found himself getting off to a hot start against the big 5a opponent with 12 points in the first half. Keller would end the game as Columbia's leading scorer notching an impressive career high of 19 points! His impressive scoring also earned him Columbia Varsity Athlete of the Week. Keller will hope to continue his strong start to the season when the Wildcats face the Ridgevue Warhawks on Tuesday for their first conference game of the season.
